Robert Elbakjans will represent „RE Autoclub“ on 15th Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique

Latvian team „RE Autoclub” just week ago returned from South America where was held rally raid Dakar, but in this week they are back on a track, they are ready for start on 15th Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique. In 20th century 70`s produced „Moskvitch 408” on the start will go pilot Roberts Elbakjans and russian co-pilot Alexander Terentyev Jr.


The start line for „RE Autoclub” will be in Barcelona (Spain), the long road distance started on this thursday with first stop in Ventspils (Latvia) till Germany and than transfer till Barcelona.


"The car is prepared perfect. Technical inspection approved it and “Moskvitch 408” is able to participate in traffic without any remarks,” says “RE Autoclub” director and Rallye Historique driver Roberts Elbakjans. “From starting point Barcelona we will face a serious challenge – 1 000 km long distance with time limit 13 hours. We expected to participate with four historic cars, but the representatives from Russia changed their plans. Consequently, it was a great opportunity to make sure that the work in “RE Autoclub” pits has been done perfect!”

Up to this moment “RE Autoclub” worked with sportsmen in the Monte-Carlo Rallye Historique. They have prepared engines for “SAAB” and “Lada” cars in Riga. This year will be special, because of the prestigious event “Moskvitch” and “Volga” will have re–debut. Latvia will be present with couple of “Jaguar” also.
In 15th Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique currently have applied 306 cars.
