In June 2010 rally raid „Riga Baja” went into the history as first Russian – Latvian championship in rally raid wich took place in Latvia, Madona district.

In August 2011 rally raid „Riga Baja” start was given in Riga Motormuseum . The rally raid first day was held in BikerniekuSports Complex, and following two days drivers competed in Jekabpils, Viesites and Salas district roads in overall with 400 km long distance.

Within two years „Riga Baja” competition have become an imporant brige between the Baltic Sea region and in Russia traditionaly organized rally „Silk Way” wich has become one of most famous and important rally raids in Europa and Asia.

Latvian Automobile federation president Janis Naglis: „”Riga Baja” is very sucessfull and remarkable example of democracy that promotes a positive relationship and sucessfull cooperation between neighboring countries”.
