On January 10th in Chili off-roads was held 9th Dakar stage, where both „RE Autoclub” car crews are among the best thirty drivers. Ilya Kuznetsov/Roman Elagin („Mitsubichi Pajero Evolution MPR 107”) showed good performance and finished in 25th place and on the next position were Anton Melnikov/Anton Nikolaev („Mitsubishi Pajero Triton”).

Dakar rally raid 9^th stage participants took 565 km long distance from Chili port city Antofagasta to farmer capital city Iquique.

“RE Autoclub” team on 9^th stage performed very convincingly among the best thirty participants. Very successful was Kuznetsov crew, after failure in previous stages, could significantly improve their positions. Kuznetsov in 9^th stage took 25^th place, in overall – 49^th place. In 9^th stage Melnikov lost only 2 minutes and was on 26^th place, in overall – 23^rd place.

On 9^th stage in best three places took the rally raid favorites. The fastest was American driver Gordon “ H3 Hummer”. One and half minute after leader come France driver Peterhansel, eight and half minutes later come Spain driver Roma.

In overall after 9^th stage in first place is Stephan Peterhansel with “Mini”, second place – Gordon and on 3^rd place Polish driver Holowczyc.

January 11th Dakar rally raid will be held 10th stage from Iguique to Arica with rally stage 377km.
