Two russian racing team „Nart Time” crews continue the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique

The russian racing team „Nart Time” continue the race with two crews out of four. Both remainig crews - Alexander Terentyev (pilot)/Alexander Terentyev Junior, with a Triumph TR4 A IRS, and Roberts Elbakjans (pilot)/Edgars Trups, with a Moskvitch 408, have successfully overcome the 400 kilometer stage.

The first stage of 16th Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique, which was more than 1500 kilometer long, overcome all four crews from russian racing team ,,Nart Time”. Unexpectedly, after the first days, two of them – Ruslan Misikov (pilot)/Konstantin Zhilcov (crew Nr.231) and Andrey Dmitriyev (pilot)/Vladimir Demyanenko (crew Nr.234) left the race, because of their business ocassions.

,,On the tuesday the Triumph TR4 A IRS had some inessential technical problems, nevertheless russian drivers could not finish the stage with the Triumph. Therefore we assisted them and towed Triumph to finish. Unexpectedly, we also incured in the spotlights because of the fact, which is something unseen and probably unique in the world of motorsports – Moskvitch 408, the product of Soviet Union, tows the british proud – Triumph.... That was pretty funny”, - with a smile says director and pilot of ,,Nart Time” Roberts Elbakjans. ,,But, unfortunately, because of that fact, both remained crews wont be able to race for the high results in overall rankings on this rally anymore. However, this experience will be the best acquisition for the next Monte-Carlo rallies. And I could not imagine, that Moskvitch can tow other car without any problems!”.
