Latvian team „RE Autoclub” crew Roberts Elbakjans and Alexander Terentyev junior with „Moskvitch 408” on Thursday on 15th Rallye Monte Carlo Historique succesfully continued the race, with oppurtunity to try out World Racing Championship distance. After 9th from 14th stages team „RE Autoclub” in overall takes 117th place.

If in previous 15th Rallye Monte Carlo Historique stages had to force with „mother nature” like foggs, snow, ice, then on 9th stage the climat were better and in some places drivers could develop high speed.

„Although the stage was easier than day before, today we could not escape without any accidents. In one of mauntain road turns in front of us driving Italian crew could not manage the car and crashed - falling more than ten meters down by the rock. Immediately doctors came and provided assistance to Italians. Luckily there is no information for big injury.” informed „RE Autoclub” main manager and pilot Roberts Elbakjans. „Today was not so succesfuly for us, because „Moskvitsh” spped is not as high as other competitors. Interesting was the opportunity to drive in recent WRC rout in two stages. On the road still remained several posters for Sebastion Loeb and Daniel Elena support, but in local cafe most represental place host Marcus Gronholm car spoiler.”

On Thursday after 5th stage Roberts Elbakjans/Alexander Terentyev jr. with „Moskvitsh” (1974) takes 117th place. The best performance from Latvian team showed Ilya Kashin with in „Jaguar E Coupe 4.2” (1970) and takes high 11th place, but Karlis Mikelsons with in 1956th made „Jaguar XK140 Coupe” now is on 19th place. The best performance from black „Volga” showed Janis Metmanis. He with his in 1960th made „GAZ Volga M21” takes 101st place. But the onlyone femail driver from Latvia Karline Stala with in 1968th made „Jaguar E Coupe 4.2.” is now on 106th psition.
